Established in 1985 and is one of the only Miami-based firms with a strong network of local and national media contacts, BCPR blends an expertise in story development, image building, and special event marketing with an eye to creating a buzz among media and driving business from a high profile South Florida local and visitor base. We do it on time, and within budget.

The firm's prestigious clients range from Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, Wish, Azul, Chispa, Bourbon Steak, a Michael Mina Restaurant and Mark Militello’s quartet of South Florida restaurants, to the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America and the Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival. The firm’s hospitality roster includes South Beach-based Goldman Properties, The Hotel, the historical Park Central Hotel and Beachside Resort & Conference Center, with Norman Van Aken’s Tavern N Town restaurants, in Key West, among many others.

The founder of the firm, Susan Brustman, a former New Yorker, brings more than 20 years of newsroom experience to her clients. A seasoned journalist, she helped establish the Los Angeles Free Press and was affiliated with Time-Life publications and New York magazine. Prior to launching her firm, Brustman honed her promotional skills at the legendary Hank Meyer Associates in the early 1980s.

Shabu_Shabu.jpgWith the firm for more than 12 years, Larry Carrino has spearheaded publicity, special event and marketing campaigns for a variety of the firm’s top restaurant, hospitality, entertainment and special event accounts. A talented writer, he has penned features for publications including The Miami Herald, Florida International Magazine, and Restaurant Hospitality, one of the country’s leading industry trades.

This is the firm that represented The Strand, South Beach’s first see-and-be-seen restaurant and many of the clients that helped define the emerging destination. The firm also brought the Hard Rock Café, Delano and Raleigh into the global media spotlight, launched Mandarin Oriental, Miami, and introduced Ocean Drive Magazine to the world at large.

Once of the first PR firms to specialize in culinary public relations, Brustman Carrino has garnered global media coverage for South Florida’s hottest restaurants, including a prestigious New York Times eight-part Chef’s series for chef/restaurateur Mark Militello and an Esquire feature citing Azul as “the best new restaurant in the U.S.” BCPR has generated numerous culinary segments, booking clients on national television shows including the Today Show, CBS Early Show, Food Network, Bravo’s Top Chef and the Travel Channel. Firmly entrenched in the community, the firm has represented the highly successful Miami Spice Restaurant Month since its inception.
